Job Description

The Data Pipeline Engineer is a metrics-focused rock star who can slice the in-app activities of millions of users on-demand, providing not only the important answers, but in many cases the important questions to ask, with the goal of providing business intelligence that will drive the continued success of LBC Studios across multiple titles.

Working side-by-side with the Design, Production, Engineering, Marketing, and Leadership teams (and, frankly, the rest of the studio will want a piece of you, too) you will bring your skills with SQL and your knowledge of working in ETL frameworks to bear on any number of important questions, and you will guide the team in making ROI-centric decisions with your strong reporting skills.

This is a full-time in-office role with the possibility of some remote work.

Responsibilities:

Support cross-functional teams across the organization to better understand overall business goals
Find answers to business questions via hands-on exploration of data sets using SQL, dashboards, statistical analysis, and data visualizations
Generate and maintain a suite of dashboards and reports for teams across the organization
Create and manage multiple A/B tests to gain insights on KPIs
Measure the success of product features post-release and assist in optimizing their performance through rapid, data-driven iteration
Aid in task prioritization and general project management within the data team
Qualifications/Skills Required:

Bachelorís Degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, economics or other applied sciences (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of experience in a similar data-centric role
Strong experience with SQL, and knowledge of NoSQL
Strong understanding of data warehousing best practices and solutions
Strong programming base for data pipeline engineering (JAVA, Python, shell scripting, etc.)
Strong oral and written communication skills, and strong presentation skills
Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated competence in statistics, probability, and other relevant areas of mathematics
Experience working with big data is an asset
Experience with Snowflake is an asset
Experience with Tableau (or other BI tools) is an asset
Familiarity with free-to-play game design concepts, industry-standard KPIs used to measure game performance, and mobile app marketing are assets
