Senior Production Engineer

Job Description

We are looking to add a Production Support Software Engineer to help us investigate production issues and improve the quality of our existing SaaS application.

This is a software engineering position where you will be responsible for troubleshooting critical production issues reported by customers, writing code to resolve software defects in our backlog and building out internal tooling to empower our customer support team. Strong problem solving abilities and empathy toward customers is a must.

Must Have Skills:

- Minimum 4 years experience in a cloud-based software development role
- Experience with Ruby on Rails, or similar, in a production environment
- Deep experience with Postgres, outside of an ORM, or strong SQL skills in general
- Exceptional customer service, writing and, oral communication skills
- Enthusiasm for improving software quality through software defect resolution
- Ability to coordinate with a globally distributed team for time critical problems

Nice to Have Skills:

Nice To Have:
- Previous experience in sustaining or escalation support software engineering roles or in quality assurance roles
- Experience troubleshooting common browser issues and their interactions with security software
- Knowledge of single sign-on providers, such as Auth0, or standards, such as SAML
- Experience designing and building internal tooling with minimal direction
- Familiarity with AWS console
