Our client is an explosive-growth startup that is out to fix content monetization on the free Web. They've been named a “Top 10 Startup in AdTech” and we work with many of the biggest websites and publishers in the world.

They are looking for an inspiring and experienced leader to help them reach our ambitious technical targets to support delivery of a best-in-class product our multi-million dollar revenue goal for 2019. As part of the executive team reporting to the CEO, the Director of Engineering will lead all technical and development efforts at Blockthrough. The ideal candidate is able to adapt and grow with the business, is able to capitalize on a rapidly-evolving market on behalf of a fast-growing, entrepreneurial organization, and has a passion for the digital advertising industry. S/He excels at taking a vision and driving it through fast-paced execution. What You’ll Be Doing
● Working with our CEO and Product Management team to set engineering goals, processes, and
best practices
● Inspiring, motivating, mentoring, and leading a team of six engineers (and growing)
● Putting in place structure and build engineering culture around how we do releases, task planning, code reviews, etc.
● Championing engineering and operational excellence, including establishing metrics and process for regular assessment and improvement
● Leading by example in the setting of company culture as we continue to scale
● Rolling up your sleeves as necessary and helping ship product - we’re a small team and everyone plays a role as an individual contributor

Must Have Skills:

BS/MS in CS, Engineering, or other related technical field
● Experience architecting, developing, and launching software products and/or services in a commercial environment with enterprise clients that have high quality expectations and are driving millions in revenue
● Managing release cycle cadence and culture with a development team
● Experience coordinating with PM/CEO/Sales to prioritize the product roadmap to support commercial objectives given business timelines and constraints
● The ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve their best demonstrated by experience managing successful engineering teams including performance management
● Understanding of the digital media and advertising industry is a bonus
● Strong communication skills
● Deep understanding of how culture and team dynamics create exceptional teams
