QA - Automation Engineer

Job Description

We are searching for QA Automation Analysts to join the team in creating the next generation of digital platform and systems. The QA Automation Analyst will work closely with developers and product owners and will be responsible to work with the development team to establish the automation frameworks, infrastructure, and the creation and execution of automated test scripts.
In addition, they will develop, maintain and enhance automated regression test suites. Also test plan development, execution and Strategy with our client’s platform and applications.

• Create and maintain core automated software tools, scripts, and test cases. Develop the test automation framework.
• Work with the QA and development teams to design, implement and execute an effective automation test strategy.
• Work with QA, development and product management teams to ensure that the design of test automation meets the needs of the project.
• Maintain a source code repository of all scripts and programs related to the automation framework and tests.
• Track testing progress to provide analysis and metrics on the QA automation development effort. Log and track detailed product defects.
• Identify problems in the application, including usability, and ensuring features are implemented as required and specified
• Report the status of test planning, defects and execution activities, including regular status updates to the QA Lead
• Will required to perform QA manual testing assigned by QA lead occasionally

Must Have Skills:

• Familiar with at JavaScript or another programming language (Ex. Java)
• Diploma or bachelor’s in computer science or related area of study will be nice to have.
• At least 1-3 years of experience in a QA Automation role
• Experience/knowledge of an automation tool (Ex. Selenium), experience testing on server/client platforms (Web and Mobile)
• Proficient in QA processes and methodologies, Agile SDLC principles, test automation frameworks, different verification/validation techniques, and test management
• Clear communicator (written and verbal) with the ability to write test plans and test cases to communicate bugs to developers and other stakeholders
• Creative problem solver to ensure the ability to translate technical requirements into test plans
• Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables
• Ability to think abstract – to ensure, ability to not conform to the norm. Norms do not find bugs quickly.
