Marketing Coordinator

Job Description

Responsible for assisting the marketing department in executing all product marketing promotion in BC. This includes but is not limited to digital marketing communications, marketing promotions, project management, and event coordination.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Marketing Promotion:
● Support the Marketing Manager and Director with the execution of experiential promotions
● Oversee fulfillment of provincial marketing initiatives
● Manage promotional items
○ Maintaining supply of and ordering consumer giveaways and volunteer gifts as needed


Marketing Communications:
● Execute the following activities:
○ Development of the annual report and holiday cards
○ Plan and manage the corporate brand including video, photo shoots, stationary, and digital library

● Collaborate in the digital strategy:
○ Follow direction of the Director of Marketing to execute the digital marketing
strategy
○ Co-lead the digital committee and keep the digital strategy on track
○ Manage the relationship with website developers to maintain website and plan website redevelopment
○ Review web and social analytics to make recommendations to the digital committee as well as include reports for the directors
○ Source materials and write website/social media content, posting recipes and articles

● Build public trust through online and social campaigns
○ Curate content for the website, including but not limited to; search, display and social
○ Work collaboratively with external partners and agencies

Event Management and Planning:
● Act as event co-lead to manage overall organization of an annual Industry Conference
○ Coordinate, communicate, and collaborate with internal and external teams


Must Have Skills:

● Successful candidates should have a degree or diploma specializing in marketing
and have 1-2 years experience working in the marketing industry.
● Preference will be given to those with:
○ 1-2 years of experience with Google Analytics
○ 1-2 years of experience in copywriting
○ Experience working with/managing agencies including– writing briefs, providing clear feedback and, managing budgets
○ Experience with the creative process – including proof-reading, obtaining partner approvals, working with print production houses
○ Experience planning large events
○ A valid driver’s license

● The successful candidate should/will:
○ Be extremely organized and able to manage multiple projects
○ Demonstrate leadership skills by effectively working with others, providing support and contributing to other’s success
