Senior UI/UX Designer

Montreal, Quebec  - Permanent

Job Description

The Senior UX/UI Product Designer will lead a key initiative, collaborating closely with the development team to ensure that all client requirements are implemented to spec. This includes creating interactive prototypes, user flows and developing a deep understanding of our client’s needs by leveraging analytics and user testing.

You will:
- Partner with product management, engineering, and creative leadership
- Take nebulous ideas and translate them into rapid prototypes for user testing
- Set the creative strategy to ensure a cohesive user experience
- Justify and prioritize the design pipeline to be in line with our KPIs, user feedback, and the overall product strategy
- Take a user-centered approach, attempting to understand how users interact with all aspects of the product, and design a user experience in accordance with this understanding
- Producing pixel-perfect mock-ups and redlines for use by various team members for the purposes of development and testing
- Keep all application mock-ups up-to-date based on the latest designs and copy
- Acquire and maintain a solid understanding of the products and services, in order to produce more relevant designs
- Pair with software developers to help implement designs
- Directly collaborate on user experience planning with product manager and production teams

Must Have Skills:

- 5+ years of experience as a UX/UI designer with substantial experience designing for various digital platforms, e.g., Web, Mobile, etc.
- Able to provide samples of work that showcase thoughtful UX solutions, strong visual design and solid information architecture
- Full knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and After Effects should be a no brainer) Sketch and HTML/CSS
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to drive strategy, vision, and execution
- Proven track record of shipping high quality consumer facing products
- Operates with a user-centric approach to design
- Ability to do rapid prototyping and enthusiasm for working in an iterative design process
- Knowledge of UI design cues and standards on Web and Mobile design experience
- An appreciation for analytics, in order to better understand how UIs are actually used
