Project: Health care app project, Scrum Coach and Master for Med Access and Quebec EMR team projects

Description:
You will be a member of the Research & Development (R&D) team in the Provider Solutions Electronic Medical Record (EMR) division of our client. Their team is a large group of technically smart people who care about making a difference in the Health Care IT ecosystem, who like to be challenged with coming up with new solutions and designs that will positively impact the delivery of health of Canadians and don’t settle for any less from their peers. They work in an agile environment, collaborating openly to solve puzzles with innovative and cutting-edge solutions that we own and take pride in.

As an Agile/Scrum Coach on our team, you will own the development and implementation of Agile/Scrum best practices within their team’s methodologies. You will effectively engage with their team members and relevant external teams to educate them on Agile and help foster a culture where this is the standard way of practice. Your leadership will help the team implement, adopt and strive for continuous improvement within the Scrum teams.

Key Responsibilities:
• You will develop and implement Agile/Scrum adoption strategies. You will be responsible for designing a strategy for the organizational adoption of Agile. This includes every stage of adoption, from the introduction of Agile and employee education, to fostering teams and cultures that practice Agile, to sustaining Agile methodologies and continually offering strategies for improvement
• You will facilitate an organizational standard of Agile/Scrum best practices. You will implement Agile/Scrum process, principles and practices across all levels and departments in the organization. Use of techniques that increase collaboration, predictability and transparency.
• Communication: Ability to communicate effectively to educate team members on the benefits of following proper agile and scrum processes, in terms of tracking progress and forecasting team capacity.
• Leadership: You will mentor our Scrum Teams. Work closely with scrum teams to identify roadblocks and encourage a collaborative approach to resolution. Provide feedback and means of improvement to team members.
• Engagement: You are a member of the team, ensuring that everyone has a supportive and motivational work environment. You participate in formal and informal team engagement activities.



Must Have Skills:

Requirements:
• Programming experience (3-4 years)
• Shows proficiency in relevant programming languages
• Strong knowledge and background of Agile concepts
• Prior experience as a Scrum Master or Agile coach (2-3 years)
• An understanding of the healthcare industry including data privacy and security considerations
• Excellent ability to prioritize competing priorities and manage work

Required Professional Designation/Certification:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience in software development

Required Experience:
• 2-3 years experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach

Must have skills:
1. Significant experience in Agile workplaces
2. Ability to multi task and work with various teams
3. Certified Scrum Master or Coach


Nice to Have Skills:

Nice to have Skills & Abilities:
• Scrum Coach or Scrum Master certifications
• Experience working with large organizations
• Demonstrates ability to work with several different Agile teams across varying projects
• Experience with Electronic Medical Record Systems (EMRs)
• Will be supporting a team in Quebec (Montreal) and Ontario- Some knowledge in French Communication preferred

Nice to have skills:
1. Worked in a large organization
2. Understanding of development lifecycles
