Director of Product Management

Job Description

The Director of Product Management will join the Online Product Management team, with a focus on our online, business-to-business platform. The Online Product Management team is responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and support teams to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.

Data will be a key tool for this position; from understanding user search patterns to influencing purchase behavior through pricing guidance and prior transaction history. In this role, you will leverage your unique combination of business and technical knowledge to evaluate technical options and to represent business requirements to the technology organization.

Additionally, you will evangelize and educate other teams on how the platform’s capabilities can be utilized by other products and services.

- Designing eCommerce product solutions aligned to business goals
- Manage and motivate a high-performing team of product managers to deliver against business results
- Work cross-functionally and collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations and Legal teams to bring features live to the site
- Analyze products, business opportunities and competition for the purpose of shaping the product direction alongside Product Management and UX Leadership
- Manage customer partnerships and strategic initiatives to identify new business opportunities and drive growth
- Assess current and future customers’ needs, perform market/industry research and analyze broader technology trends to provide strategic direction for eCommerce products
- Provide overarching guidance to multiple Product Owners and Scrum teams
- Represent the product roadmap to senior-level external clients and partners to drive product understanding and adoption

Must Have Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Technology or Business discipline [MBA a plus]
- 10+ years of Product Management experience (ideally eCommerce)
- Experience building web products with a demonstrated ability in product initiation, execution and results
- Ability to manage and lead across highly cross-functional teams
- Record of setting organizational priorities and stakeholder alignment in a dynamic workplace
- Cultivated talent and contributed to the professional growth of a team of direct reports in the past
- Clearly demonstrated product ownership, delivering from start to finish from business concept to successful implementation
- Experience architecting solutions for a complex, service-based enterprise-class online transaction processing system; Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with and understand technical subjects and emerging technologies and their relevance to the marketplace
- Experience in Agile transformations and/or development methodologies
- Experience leading conflict resolution with internal/external customers through strong cross-functional team leadership
- Strong analytics background, leveraging data to influence business constituents and impact go forward decisions
- Strong listening, communication and organization skills
