QA Analyst

Job Description

As a Quality Assurance Analyst you will be responsible for the QA of international web projects and mobile applications. You will certify that products are of high-quality, stable, and you will work to develop, apply, and maintain quality requirements that include the creation and execution of methods and procedures for testing and debugging.

We are searching for an independent, responsible, and dynamic team member who is able to plan, execute, and manage all manual testing techniques while being actively involved in ongoing testing activities.

- Follow the defined QA processes to ensure all standards are met for end to end integrated solutions involving multiple applications
- Develop and execute manual test scripts and test scenarios in order to validate the practicality, performance, quality and reliability of our Web Projects
- Report problems using bug tracking software so that solutions can be determined, prioritized and scheduled
- Communicate with Developers, Project Managers and End Users on application issues to ensure that the application is fully tested
- Work with Developers and QA Lead to help perform root cause analysis of issues
- Continue learning new technologies and enhancing skills through vendor certifications and other means

Must Have Skills:

Technical Experience:
- Ability to translate business specifications into test plans, tests cases and provide QA plans on task execution and estimates
- Ability to define and execute a variety of different types of tests (Functional, Regression, Interoperability, Integration, System, Configuration, Smoke, etc.) across multiple delivery platforms.
- Hands-on knowledge of software development life cycle in an agile environment
- Sound knowledge of testing and development methodologies and practices, version control practices and defect management practices.
- Knowledge of iPhone and Android devices for Mobile Application testing is an asset
- Knowledge of bug tracking software (preferably JIRA) is an asset
- Knowledge of Test Automation tools: Selenium Web driver, Selenium Grid, TestNG, JUnit and Ant is an asset
- Practical knowledge of BDD and tools like Cucumber or JBhave
- Practical knowledge of gherkin language
- Knowledge of SMART, INVEST and MoSCoW principles
- 3 years experience testing in an online environment

Communication & Collaboration:
- Ability to work as part of a team with good work ethics
- Strong communication skills are required (oral and written)
- Self-motivated, independent worker with strong process skills
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- Desirable: Software Quality or Testing Certification
