Currently working with: Java/J2EE, JavaScript, Servlets, Struts, Tomcat, Oracle RAC, Linux/Unix
Incorporating and moving to: Java/J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Angular/Ember, NoSQL, Cassandra, Hadoop, iOS/Android

Critical in your role you will have:

In-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle specifically as it relates to the division/specialization of labor
Hands-on experience in recognizing development team member strengths and weaknesses so that work assignments are made to maximize individual contributions towards optimizing the overall team efficacy

These duties are still being finalized but here is an overview of some of the duties:

Technical Tasks

Guide Software team members to ensure architectural integrity and product quality

Perform reviews on technical requirements, architecture and design

Formulate and recommend engineering guidelines and timelines

Conduct research and development of new technologies to support business growth

Provide technical leadership or project management on multi-disciplinary projects

Non-Technical Tasks

Ensure appropriate staffing to support current and planned business goals

Provide mentorship and skill development to software team

Work closely with the QA groups to ensure robust, quality products

Observes of the software and identify areas of improvement and new avenues of development


Must Have Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, preferred Masters or MBA
5-7 years experience as a Software Developer (Java EE/C++/C#), 1-2 years as an architect or lead, and 2+ years as a manager
2-3 years as a software development manager working in product development shop
Strong experience working through the design, development, release cycle, and rapidly delivering software products to market
Mastery of Scrum methodology and Agile practices
Track record of coaching and inspiring teams to develop high quality code
Strong leadership, project management, time management, and problem solving skills
Willingness to dive into software environments and technical issues
Experience with managing the development of SaaS and cloud-based applications


Nice to Have Skills:

Experience with billing/payments or fin services
