Position Overview:

This role is located in Toronto, targeting Retail clients in Ontario but with National scoop.

Working with customers in the Retail industry, the successful applicant will be responsible for enlisting the appropriate OUR CLIENT resources to ensure regular, cost effective account coverage. The Senior Account Manager will also leverage all OUR CLIENT resources to ensure that OUR CLIENT solutions provide an avenue for success for OUR CLIENT retail clients. The Senior Account Manager's challenge will be to retain and sustain our billed revenue base while growing net new revenue from current and new retail customers.


Responsibilities:

•Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales/revenue objectives
•Proactively and reactively respond to customer requests, RFP, relationship issues
•Conduct internal and customer presentations
•Develop relationships with customers/suppliers and the internal organization (East and West)
•Ability to set and manage objectives for cross-functional teams to deliver customer solutions
•Develop account plans
•Prospecting/Lead generation
•Build & qualify sales leads
•Sales funnel maintenance and management
•Administration : complete reporting as required
•Provide complete and accurate order/service information
•Achieve customer satisfaction objectives
 
Must Have Skills:

Qualifications

Required Knowledge:
•Comprehensive competitive knowledge and understanding of competitor's influence within the telecom environment and the retail industry
•Strong understanding of telecommunication technologies, their applications and positioning relative to business needs, competitive offerings and emerging technologies is an asset
•Excellent understanding of the Sales Process
•Understanding of Data related Products and Services is an asset
•Excellent understanding of all Microsoft Office Products


•Demonstrated ability to develop business relationships across all levels of an organization including executive levels
•Demonstrated ability to identify client business problems, assess risks and profitability, drive the development of a strong mutually beneficial account plan and define the appropriate internal resources (technical assistance, project management, alternate sales channel support)
•Ability to engage and negotiate effectively with external vendors in joint ventures to provide comprehensive business solutions
•Ability to take action to align tasks, objectives, and resources with strategic priorities
•Adjusts quickly to shifting priorities and rapid changes
•Ensures short term financial decisions are aligned with long term business strategies
•Drives to achieve business goals that will separate OUR CLIENT from its competitors
•Thinks "out-of-the-box" and encourages others to do so
•Probes all relevant sources of information to define problems and identify solutions.
Required Professional Designation/Certification:
•University degree, MBA would be an asset
Required Experience:
•7+ years of face to face sales experience
•Senior Sales experience/relationships with Canadian Retailers selling technical solutions to Canadian Retailers, Preferably direct experience with level 1 Merchants.
•Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets
•Leadership experience is an asset.


The right candidate in the role with have a HUNTER instinct / even though Farming is a big part of the role - the right candidate will HUNT well. You probably work with BUYERs.
