Job Description:
Responsibilities: The Solution Architect has two (2) primary areas of responsibility: a) Sales and Marketing and b) Delivery Sales and Marketing Provide opportunity pursuit services starting at awareness generation stage all the way through to proposal and closing of the sale. Work closely with sales account teams to assist in the development of account plans and qualification of opportunities. Responsible for describing the solution, defining the approach and estimating the work effort in client proposals. Assist in the planning and execution of market events, including: seminars, speaking engagements, and authoring engagements to stimulate demand creation. Assist in the management of strategic alliances to position company as a leading solutions service provider. Assist in the creation, collection and updates of intellectual assets to support sales. Sales focused intellectual assets include such things as: Offer and service definitions Client references Case studies Pertinent alliance materials Competitive research and advice
Delivery Provide thought leadership and project advisory services to key clients on a billable basis. Leading the definition of Architecture frameworks, strategies, roadmaps and migration plans Assessing existing applications and mapping them to the overall business needs and for developing a clear picture of future application needs Providing architecture support to business analysts and developers on one or more projects Provide quality assurance services on delivery projects to ensure that the quality and overall architecture compliance of delivered solutions reflects what was proposed Creating robust, sustainable architecture that supports requirements and provides for expansion given budgetary constraints and availability of data and skilled resources Ensure that intellectual assets created during the delivery process are collected, evolved and captured in the knowledge base in a manner that is reusable and relevant. Conduct technical interviews in conjunction with Resource Management. Provide training / coaching to other Architects to ensure consistent delivery of solutions and quality. Provide standards and best practices, development, testing and implementation guidance to the project team.

Must Have Skills:
Senior Solutions Architect - Microsoft Technologies
Qualifications 6+ years of experience on Information Technology projects in one or more of the Health, Retail, Education, Utilities, Municipalities or Natural Resources sectors Commercial experience working within the CRM arena Experience in designing, architecting, implementing, customization of MSCRM / Dynamics CRM or another leading CRM solution - i.e. Pivotal, SalesLogix, salesforce.com, SAP CRM Experience in integration of Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Microsoft SharePoint solutions is desirable Experience working with industry standards, regulations and guidelines Experience working with company hardware and software products to make sound financial recommendations Establish and maintain strong relationships with Microsoft Presales team Experience in leading, mentoring and training internal (practice members, cross functional staff) and external stakeholders (partners and clients) would be beneficial Working knowledge of other Microsoft technologies including: C#, Sliverlight, SharePoint Designer, AJAX, Performance Point, SQL Server, and BizTalk would be beneficial Post secondary degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience Competencies A proven track record for the timely delivery of high quality project deliverables Understands and is able to apply solution development life cycle principles, concepts and techniques on projects Demonstrated track record in leading the sales and delivery of CRM consulting projects on multiple platforms Strong ability to assist projects in overcoming technical issues/problems which are impeding progress Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills Experience in evangelizing on BI solutions and how our capabilities can be leveraged to win business Presentation and facilitation experience Proven excellent analytical ability Works proactively and is a team player Highly motivated Results-oriented Highly presentable and professional Attention to detail Able to thrive in fast-paced, detail oriented, and high-pressured environments Flexibility to adapt to travel, client and project teams |
