Job Description:
DataCentre Professional Services Consultant required
Ideally I'm looking for somebody with at least 2-3 years experience with Datacentre or VMware expereince in client facing professional Services role |

Must Have Skills:
A VCP (VMware Certified Professional) designation is a strong preference
Also any experience with Cisco Data Centre Technologies is a big bonus - UCS or Cisco Data Centre 3.0 or Cisco Nexus
* Server Consolidation and Virtualization (VMware, MS Virtual Server, Blade technology)
* UNIX based solutions (RISC/Linux)including High-Availability
* Storage consolidation and data management including SAN/NAS and enterprise backup/restore solutions such as TMS/Veritas, etc.
* The candidate will be responsible for supporting sales by providing technical content and/or a subject-matter-expert providing technical content.
* Supporting sales on proposal writing, RFP responses, etc.
* The candidate will also be responsible for solution design and delivery including design, proof of concept, implementation, and handoff/training
* Cisco Networking experience is a huge assett
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
* Extensive experience in the IT industry working in both corporate IT and more recently for Solution Providers.
* Extensive experience in customer facilitation and creating compelling responses for our clients.
* Enterprise Server and Storage Solutions hands-on experience including conceptualizing, designing, proof of concept, documenting, implementing and user hand-off.
* Hands on experience working with :Windows Server Technologies, Novell NetWare,.
* Hands on experience working with :AIX, HP/UX, Solaris, or Linux
* Hands-on experience designing and implementing storage solutions based on HP StorageWorks EVA, EMC CX600 and/or IBM ESS storage subsystems. Symantec Veritas Cluster Server, HP and IBM Midrange certifications and experience and asset.
* Hands-on experience designing solutions for server virtualization utilizing VMWare ESX.software
* Backup technologies and Disaster Recovery Services implementation

* Must be highly organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced sales environment.
* Must be detail oriented and well versed with internet research.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Participate in building relationships both from a presales and delivery perspective within a client and within technology, partner and professional user groups.
* Participate in developing solutions for proposals of low to medium complexity.
* Analyze relationship between and among components of the delivery process.
* Identify casual factors and relate effects to larger issues
* Describe relationship between design components of infrastructure planning
* Identify functional requirements for our area of responsibility
* Conduct and document user interviews
* Define simple, maintainable processes based upon a conceptual architecture
* Develop test scripts and expected results to physical design
* Analyze discrepancies between actual and expected results
* Execute the proper software and/or hardware migration procedures
* Model network/channel scenarios and assist in interpreting results
* Summarize data to include third-party provider packages
* Identify business issues via client interviews
* Participate in closeout of engagements
* Other duties as assigned, or required
